Every year Mining For A Heart of Gold invites Canada’s most influential mining and junior resource stakeholders to play a leadership role in celebrating and supporting an outstanding charity. Some of the biggest names and companies in the mining and resource industry have helped Mining For a Heart of Gold raise more than $40,000.00 per event and improve the lives of millions of Canadians.

The chosen charity for 2010 is The Jean Tweed Centre For Women & Their Families. The Jean Tweed Centre was established in 1983 and has since grown to become a leading community-based substance abuse and problem gambling agency for women in Ontario. The Centre offers a wide range of services including residential and day programs; two day programs — one 3 weeks and one 7 weeks duration for mothers with young children and pregnant women along with out-patient programs including family support and trauma counselling and outreach services in various locations across the city for pregnant and parenting women.
