Perhaps because he doesn’t tend to have an entourage of 20 people with him at all times. Seriously, there are some celebrities who always travel with a huge posse but still complain that they can’t go anywhere without being mobbed!

Keanu seems like the kind of guy who can walk the streets or ride a subway car in ordinary clothes and blend. He doesn’t call attention to himself, so most people don’t notice him. And the ones who do notice him figure out “He just wants to be left alone. I may give him a smile of recognition, but there’s no reason for me to pester him.”

Many celebrities can do that. Back in the Seventies, when I was in high school, Bing Crosby was doing a set of shows at Radio City in New York. He was riding the subways during that time in a tweed jacket and a hat, acting like an ordinary commuter. And nobody seemed to notice him.

Keanu’s one of the most down to earth, “regular Joe’s” in Hollywood. No sycophants following him around to cater to his every whim. No “hiding” by driving around in a $500K sports car hoping a pair of Ray Bans will disguise him. He just lives his life. I respect that.

Keanu Reeves wants to live his life like a regular person. The fact that he has a ton of money doesn’t seem to mean a lot to him. He doesn’t travel with an entourage which would draw attention. He doesn’t drive a fancy car, he takes public transit. He’s never in the press and stays below the radar drawing very little attention to himself. He lives in a way that, if you’d never seen him in the movies, you’d think he was just another guy.

He does get attention. And that’s because he is such a nice self effacing guy. He loves people and is outstandingly nice to his fans. Everyone has nothing but great words to say about him. You can wrap up everything you will ever know about him in these words:

MR. NICE!

Having never me Keanu Reeves I am not privy to make authoritative statements about his personality. However, I do think that he is honest in his public settings and that he is not attempting to swindle anyone with a humble deportment.

Is there a “Sad Keanu”? I do not know, but I like and respect Keanu Reeves.

One of the skills that famous actors have mastered is to blend into the public without being recognised. As teenager one on my hobbies was to spot these famous people in Chelsea and Hampstead Heath, United Kingdom. I believe you are refering to Keanu Reeves mingling in public without being recognised.
